Juncker defends budget rigor in Euro parliament speech

(AGI) Brussels, July 8 - In a speech to Liberal Democrats(ADLE) in the European parliament, newly appointed EuropeanCommission President, Jean-Claude Juncker, said: "I want tomaintain the rigor in budgets. I am against excessiveausterity, but am in favour of rigor. Whoever tells me rigor isover, is wrong." Juncker added that "there is no growth policyif we increase debt.
