Euro opens slightly higher under 1. 29 dollars

(AGI) Rome, Sept 22 - The euro opened slightly higher on Mondayat 1.2857 to the dollar after touching a 14-month low of1.2826. It was 140.01 to the yen. The dollar slipped to 108.89yen after a six-year high of 109.46 yen. The G20 financialmeeting underscored the risk of deflation in the eurozone, buthad little effect on currency markets. The dollar remains highon expectations of a rise in U.S. interest rates in mid-2015.(AGI) . .
