Airstrike kills 53 militants in Pakistan

(AGI) Karachi, July 16 - U.S. drone aircraft and Pakistan jetfighters attacked suspected militants in the North Waziristanregion killing 53, Pakistani military officials said onWednesday. The airstrike targeted a position to which fightershad fled in the Shawal region. U.S. drone aircraft also killed18 suspected militants in Datta Khel, according to intelligencesources.
