The Concept:
Agriculture in Kyrgyzstan is key to the Country's economy, with more than 65 percent of its population lives in rural areas of the Country. Crop cultivation and animal husbandry still play a significant role in the local and national economy. Kyrgyzstan's goal is to combine its agricultural traditions with ecologically clean production through the implementation of the latest technologies.
The culture of Kyrgyzstan is deeply rooted in antiquity, when the Kyrgyz were a nomadic tribe and based their ideology upon a protective careful attitude towards nature, being part of it and living harmoniously with it. At present, these nomadic traditions are continuing in combination with clever implementation of scientific and technological innovations.
The participation of Kyrgyzstan at Expo Milano 2015 is a unique chance to familiarize visitors with the Country's rich culture, historical values, wonderful nature, and above all, a chance to introduce Kyrgyzstan as a Country with high potential in the cultivation of ecological food products.
The pavilion of the Kyrgyzstan is located in the Fruits and Legumes Cluster. The central attraction of the Exposition is a "tree of life" with an interactive panel, which allows visitors to influence the health of the tree and, as a result, the planet - illustrating the interconnectedness and influence of individual actions on the whole world.
