(AGI) Misano Adriatico (Rimini), Sept 13 - Marc Marquez won theSan Marino and Rimini Coast motorcycle Grand Prix at the end ofa particularly tough race with a mix of wet and dry asphaltthat obliged riders to change their motorcycles twice. Thereigning world champion, on Honda, came ahead of Bradley Smithand Scott Redding on the Misano Adriatico circuit. Loris Bazcame fourth and Valentino Rossi fifth, as he was lagging atleast one lap behind after the pit-stop for a change of tyres.He nonetheless gained ground in the general ranking ahead ofhis Yamaha team-mate Jorge Lorenzo, who badly crashed out on acurve at seven laps from the finish. Rossi now has a 23-pointadvantage over Lorenzo. Danilo Petrucci came sixth, followed byAndrea Iannone and Andrea Dovizioso, both on Ducati. DaniPedrosa finished ninth and Aleix Espargaro' tenth, closing thetop-ten listing. Valentino Rossi: "A pity not having made thepodium" Valentino, "The Doctor", said: "It was great, thechoreography of the people incredible, fantastic for me and forthis sport. A pity for the race, which was weird, and a pitythat I didn't make the podium, but thanks for the support.Chapeau." Bradley Smith defined his second place in Misano as"something incredible". He said: "I came in one lap late and atthe end I decided to keep these tyres. I continued to think:'more haste less speed'; I didn't think I would make it to thepodium; I thought I would finish among the first six but then Irealised I was second and it was fantastic; I followed myinstinct and it worked."
