The 48 year oldHungarian paid for a poor start with just one win in five gamesand a 2-1 defeat to Northern Ireland in the first qualifier forthe European Championships. Former Hertha Berlin midfielder PalDardai has taken charge temporarily until the end of December.Hungary has not qualified for a major international competitionsince the 1986 World Cup in Mexico.
