(AGI/AFP) Zurich, Sept 25 - Swiss prosecutors have opened acriminal case for fraudulent management and embezzlementagainst FIFA chief Sepp Blatter, after a raid on theorganisation's offices in Zurich and the seizure of documents.The prosecutor's office suspects that on Sept. 12, 2005 MrBlatter signed a contract that assigned valuable World Cup TVrights to an indicted former FIFA official, Jack Warner. MrBlatter is accused of violating his fiduciary duty to FIFA aspresident by signing a contract "unfavourable to FIFA". TheSwiss authorities said that Mr Blatter was also suspected ofmaking a "disloyal payment"

MrBlatter is accused of violating his fiduciary duty to FIFA aspresident by signing a contract "unfavourable to FIFA". TheSwiss authorities said that Mr Blatter was also suspected ofmaking a "disloyal payment" of two million Swiss francs to UEFAchief Michel Platini. The payment, they said, was for workbetween January 1999 and June 2002, but was not made untilFebruary 2011. Mr Platini has been heard as a witness. Theprosecutor's office said that the "presumption of innocence"applies in the case of Mr Blatter and they will be giving nomore information. Following this they cancelled the pressconference due after the meeting of the executive in Zurich. . .
