Cycling: Nibali wins tricolore

(AGI) Trento, June 28 - Sicily's Vincenzo Nibali (Astana) hasbagged the tricolore to become Italy's new cycling champion. InSaturday's professional road race, he neatly pipped Verona'sDavide Formolo (Cannondale) to the post, finishing 6 secondsahead of Rome's Matteo Rabottini (Neri Ale). Nibali forgedahead, neck and neck with Sacha Modolo, in the final kilometreof the 220,5 kilometre race in Trento. Giovanni Visconti(Movistar), born in Turin but raised in Palermo, finished 4th,7 seconds behind Nibali. The race covered much the same groundas the traditional Melinda Trophy. (AGI) . .
