(AGI) London, Mar 9 - An international survey carried out bythe UK's Royal Mail Group has revealed that York, in the Northof England, is the safest city in the world. The city is famousfor its city walls and huge tourist numbers, despite being seenby some in the UK as boring and unexciting. The most dangerouscity, according to almost 3,000 interviewees, is Cairo - a mere7 percent regarded it as safe. Of the top 10 cities consideredsafe and less problematic by tourists, Venice came fifth andFlorence eighth. Bath, famous for its spa waters and Romanbaths, came second, followed by Edinburgh. Brighton, on thesouth coast, was fourth. Italy is a popular destination forBritish tourists, despite the pickpocket problem, with 24percent of related crimes involving wallets.
