(AGI) Rome, March 21 - Italrugby suffered a big blow afterbeing defeated in the last match of the Six Nations 2015Tournament. The team coached by France's Jacques Bruneisurrendered to Wales at Rome's Olympic Stadium, losing by61-20. Italrugby closed the Six Nations 2015 tournament with abig flop. Wales, a runner-up for the final, prevailed over theItalians and highlighted their unresolved limits, bothtemperamental and technical. Brunei's team kept afloat in thefirst half but was ultimately crushed by the 'Red Dragons', whowere flying high against Italy, which proved not to be up tothe task in such a prestigious match. The Olympic Stadium wasall sold-out, with 70,000 festive spectators cheering MauroBergamasco, the only one of the team still playing in theTournament since 2000, when the Italy national team wasincorporated. Leonardo Ghiaraldini was captain in the place ofParisse, who was out for an injury. Haimona scored his firsttry at 1', bringing Italy momentarily in the lead, and waslater replaced by Orquera after suffering a wrist injury. TheDragons tied the score on a penalty by Halfpenny at 3', andLuciano Orquera scored again for Italy at 6'. Another penaltyby Leigh Halfpenny gave Wales a 6-6 tie at 10', which remainedunchanged until 20', after a failed attempt by GiovanbattistaVenditti. Wales scored an all too easy try with Roberts, whichwas not converted by the guest kicker. Venditti took theinitiative at 25', countering Roberts's ineffective tackle, andpersistently pressed through 5 metres on the opponent's side,giving a good performance. Halfpenny also left the field,replaced by Scott Williams, and Wales finished the first halfleading by 14-13 after a penalty kick by Dan Biggar. (AGI) . .
