Plane overshoots runway in snowstorm at La Guardia

(AGI) New York, Mar 5 - A Delta Airlines plane from Atlantaovershot the runway while landing at New York's La Guardiaairport during a snowstorm on Thursday. The MD-80, whichcrashed into a barrier, had 130 people on board (125 passengersand 5 crew), all of whom were safely disembarked. U.S. TVbroadast images of the snowy runway and the plane up againstthe barrier, apparently with a damaged wing and leaking fuel.Dozens of ambulances were summoned, but first impressions werethat nobody had been hurt.
