Milan Expo 'Water and Lotus' exhibition held in Vietnam

(AGI) Hanoi, June 4 - The "Expo Milan 2015. Water and Lotus"exhibition has opened in Vietnam. It was organised by theItalian embassy in Hanoi with the Vietnamese Ministry ofCulture and Casa Italia to mark Italy's Republic Day. Theexhibition focused on research, innovation, sustainability andrespect for the environment. The solutions proposed by Italyand Vietnam form part of the Universal Exhibition. Theexhibition also featured a model of the Vietnamese paviliondesigned by Vo Trong Nghia Architects on the theme of "Waterand lotus flower". Italian ambassador, Cecilia Piccioni,said that the photos of the two pavilions, exhibited together,emphasise the partnership created for Expo 2015, as well as thelong-standing relations between the countries. "Casa Italiarepresents the ideal meeting point and platform for culturalexchange between Italy and Vietnam, inspired by the concept ofthe square, the market, the cities of Renaissance Italy, wherecitizens met, traded, discussed and swapped advice andexperience," she said. The ceremony on June 2 was attended byDeputy Minister of Culture, Vuong Duy Bien, Deputy Minister ofNatural Resources, Tran Hong Ha, and Deputy Minister ofPlanning and Investment, Dang Duy Dong.
