(VELINO) Roma, 16 Oct - "The time to look up" is an exhibitionby Italian artist Gea Casolaro, designed specifically for Peru,whose title is inspired by a song by Cesar Calvo and ChabucaGranda. The event, to be held from Oct. 23 to Nov. 27 at theMario Sironi gallery, was organised by the Italian CulturalInstitute (IIC) of Lima. In parallel, the Italian artist will hold aworkshop with students of the Centro de la Imagen until Nov. 6.Casolaro was also recently invited to present her works at thePlasticoNomade exhibition at the Juan Parra cultural centre.Gea Casolaro was born in Rome and has lived and worked in Parissince 2009. Her work has been exhibited in museums, privategalleries and institutional spaces (including at the mostrecent Rome Quadrennial) both in Italy and abroad. She mainlyuses video and photography to investigate our relationship withimages, current events, the society around us, urban landscapesand the people who live there, using an approach similar tothat of sociologists and philosophers. vel.
