(AGI) Frankfurt, Sept. 24 - Italy will be present at theFrankfurt International Book Fair in October with theleitmotifs "The Italian of music, the music of the Italian" and"A meeting of cultures". The fair will be held from Oct. 14 to18 and is organised by the Italian Cultural Institute inCologne and the Consulate General of Italy in Frankfurt, incollaboration with the Italian National Tourist Board (ENIT),the Italian Publishers Association (AIE) and severalItalian-German associations and foundations. Its crowdedprogramme includes activities organised for the 15th Week ofthe Italian Language in the World for the Hessen region. The Frankfurt Book Fair has scheduled many events, including:the ENIT Prize award for best multimedia editions in Germandedicated to tourism in Italy; the presentation of "Le favoledi Pa' Gongolo" by Enrico Matteo Ponti; the presentation of thenew novel "Adua" by Igiaba Scego; and meetings with Moshe Kahnand economist Antonio Maria Costa. There will also be attentionfor the book "Why Italians love to talk about food" by ElenaKostioukovitch, for the documentary "Portrait" about Italianwriter Dacia Maraini made by Maria Giustina Laurenzi, and forthe novel "Chiara di Assisi" by the same Maraini. On thefinal day of the event, three writers - Igiaba Scego fromItaly, Patrick Deville from France and Javier Cercas from Spain- will talk about social and geographical boundaries, languagebarriers and boundaries between fiction and reality.
