(AGI) Naples, Oct 8 - The Italian economy is emerging from thecrisis, as the latest figures are encouraging in terms ofgrowth, jobs and family income, said Italy's Economy MinisterPier Carlo Padoan in a videomessage. The message was screenedat the opening of the two-day Digital for Growth conference inCapri organised by Ernst & Young. Mr Padoan stressed thatrecovery "is still proving hard" because "Italy has twosignificant problems to tackle - emerging from the globalfinancial crisis that also gripped Italy, costing the country10 points of GDP" and "combating problems that were building upwell before the crisis". He was referring to "delays ininvestments, which hamper recovery beyond a certain point". Inthis regard, the challenge facing Italy and the government wasto "build on the crisis to overcome past limitations",ratcheting up the country's "potential ability to producewealth". (AGI). .
