(AGI) Dubai, May 29 - Italy, with its gorgeous coast, would bea "perfect place" to host the underwater houseboats built inDubai, according to the Kleindienst Group, which designed the"floating seahorses", a sort of mega yacht without an engine. Unveiled last March at the Dubai International Boat Show, thehouseboats have been a great success and have almost sold out,at a price of 1.62 million euros each. Marketing manager,Charlotte Ferrey, said that 32 of the 42 on the market havebeen sold to Persian Gulf countries, in Asia, and also inEurope. The houseboats have three levels, with a total area of160 square metres and walls almost entirely of glass. The moreatmospheric level is below water, containing the bedroom with adouble bed and a bathroom. The living area, with lounge andkitchen, a dining table and outside sunbathing area is at thewater level. Finally, upstairs has a terrace for outdoordining, outdoor showers, a minibar and a jacuzzi. Thehouseboats that will remain in Dubai will be anchored to 4kilometres off the coast, "but may be transferred anywhere inthe world. They will be manufactured here in Dubai and shippedto customers in the destination they choose," said Ms Ferrey."Italy would be a perfect place for our floating seahorses, especially given its beautiful coasts and fantastic holidayfacilities," she added.
