Italian restaurants in China receive awards

(AGI) Beijing, Nov 20 - Thirty-five Italian restaurants inChina have been awarded a special quality certificate by theItalian Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts(Unioncamere). The certificates were part of the "Ospitalita'Italiana" project launched by Unioncamere in collaboration withthe national institute for tourism research and fiveministries: Foreign Affairs, Art and Culture, EconomicDevelopment, Tourism and Agriculture. The ceremony, organisedby the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China, was held duringFood Hospitality China, the most important fair in China's foodand beverage sector. The ceremony, organisedby the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China, was held duringFood Hospitality China, the most important fair in China's foodand beverage sector. The booklet "Authentic Italian Food,Quality Experience", in which the reasons for making the awardsare explained, was presented at the ceremony. The event wasattended by the president of the Italian Chamber of Commercein China, Franco Cutrupia, the director of the Italian TradeCommission office in Shanghai, Claudio Pasqualucci, and Italy'sConsul General in Shanghai, Stefano Beltrame. Mr Beltrameemphasised the role of Italian restaurants in China asambassadors of culinary tradition. Prizes for the best Italianrestaurants in China were awarded for the fifth year. In 2010,the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China started inspectingrestaurants in three Chinese cities to identify those that bestrespect the tradition of Italian cuisine and make the best useof products made in Italy.
