(VELINO) Roma, 19 Nov - The fourth edition of the ItalianLuxury Interiors exhibition, showcasing "Made in Italy"furnishings, is being held at Dubai's Ritz-Carlton Hotel fromTuesday, Nov. 18 until Friday, Nov. 21. Furnishing exports tothe Gulf countries were worth 6.6 billion dollars last year.The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is the largest export market forItaly in the Middle East, importing 40 percent of furnishingproducts. Italy is the UAE's secondlargest supplier of furnishing products, lighting systems,furniture and furnishing accessories. Exports total around 200million euros. Furniture and lighting systems make up 80percent, tableware 10 percent and glass and ceramic furnishingaccessories 10 percent. The exhibition was organised by theItalian Trade Agency with the help of the Italian Embassy incollaboration with the small business associationConfartigianato and the National Confederation of the CraftSector and Small and Medium Enterprises, with the artisticsupervision of ARTEX. vel.
