Italian footwear firms present goods at Moscow's Shoe Fair

(AGI) Moscow, Sept 28 - Italian footwear companies arepresenting their products at Moscow's Obuv Mir Kozhi, a fairfor medium-to-high end footwear and leather goods industries. Atotal of 132 Italian companies have taken a 3,600 square metrearea at the exhibition, reported Moscow's office of ICE, theItalian Trade Agency, which supported Assocalzaturifici, theassociation of Italian footwear industries, in organising theItalian Pavilion at the Expocentre. "Several parallel actionswere taken to better support participating Italian companies,"said the agency. One of these includes a Made in Italy Loungeto welcome buyers visiting the fair, and help them network withItalian exhibitors. The lounge features a help-desk set up byAssocalzaturifici and ICE to provide information to Italianexhibitors and Russian buyers. Italy "is Russia'ssecond-largest exporter after China, with a respective marketshare of 9.8 percent for shoes, slightly down from the 10.2percent share in the same period of 2014, and a 12.9 percentshare for leather goods, in line with last year's," said ICE.The fair includes firms from France, Spain and Turkey, inaddition to Italian and local companies. A total of 180exhibitors are at the fair, which covers 4,300 square metres.(AGI) . .
