(VELINO) Roma, 7 Oct - Rome took centre stage in Costa Rica onOct. 5 with the opening of the exhibition "The making of (anew) Rome". This exhibition of recent works by Romanarchitects, produced mainly in the capital by companiesbelonging to the Builders' Association of Rome (ACER) between2010 and 2013, presents to the public the surprising vivacityof design and construction in the city, known for its past butless known for its major building renovation in progress. Thisexhibition, as well as making Roman architects more visibleabroad and identifying opportunities for cooperation withforeign colleagues, also aims to show a different Rome, whichlooks to the present and the future and not just the past; toenhance the technical and construction capacity of Roman firms;and to promote exchanges between Italian and foreign designersand manufacturers. On the occasion of the exhibition, on Oct. 7the President of the Order of Architects of Rome and Province,Arturo Livio Sacchi, gave a talk at the Auditorium of CFIA onthe exhibition followed by a panel discussion entitled"Arquitectura - Ciudad y Ciudadania". The two events wereorganised by the Order of Architects in partnership with theCACR (Colegio de Arquitectos de Costa Rica), with ACER, withthe Almagia Foundation ALMAGIA and the Italian Embassy in CostaRica.
