(VELINO) Roma, 30 Jun - The "Italy of the future" initiative,which will showcase Italian excellence in various scientificfields such as robotics, particle physics, medicine,transportation, and conserving archeological and culturalartifacts, will be hosted in Buenos Aires's Parque delBicentenario from July 15 to November 1. The exhibition willinclude examples of technologies and projects in which Italyhas a prominent role, and will be made of up separate stationsor islands dedicated to specific topics. The event, supportedby Argentina's presidential office, was organised by Italy'sMinistry of Foreign Affairs and the National Research Council(CNR) in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Technology(IIT), National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN), and theScuola Superiore Sant'Anna di Pisa (SSUP). It is part of aseries of initiatives for the Year of Italy in Latin America.The Parque del Bicentenario was chosen as a location due to itssymbolic value: every year, the park hosts the Tecnopolis, theforemost science and technology fair in Latin America. The"Italy of the future" exhibit was previously hosted inParaguay's Catholic University of Asuncion and was highlysuccessful. After Argentina, it will be held in Cordoba fromNovember 21 to January 10, 2016, and then in Santiago delEstero till February. vel.
