The event, supportedby Argentina's presidential office, was organised by Italy'sMinistry of Foreign Affairs and the National Research Council(CNR) in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Technology(IIT), National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN), and theScuola Superiore Sant'Anna di Pisa (SSUP). It is part of aseries of initiatives for the Year of Italy in Latin America.The Parque del Bicentenario was chosen as a location due to itssymbolic value: every year, the park hosts the Tecnopolis, theforemost science and technology fair in Latin America. The"Italy of the future" exhibit was previously hosted inParaguay's Catholic University of Asuncion and was highlysuccessful.
