In hisspeech, Mr Giro stressed the global importance of Expo for theissues of food security and sustainable development,highlighting the contribution that Argentina can make in termsof content to the themes of the Universal Exhibition due to therichness of its agriculture and food. The undersecretary saidthat Argentina's participation in Expo will also be a uniqueopportunity to strengthen the already excellent economic andtrade relations between Italy and Argentina, which are deeplyrooted in the affinity and links between the two peoples.
