'OPEN DOORS' AT ITALIAN CULTURAL INSTITUTE IN LIMA

(VELINO) Roma, 23 Sep - The Italian Cultural Institute in Limais opening its doors as part of Peru's week-long celebration ofthe Year of Italy in Latin America. The institute has organisedsample introductory lessons in the Italian language, which isincreasingly being studied in Peru and throughout the region,visits to the building and its library, a cultural programmefor this year and future projects, as part of the "Open Doors"event. The Carpe Diem group will perform "Arlecchino Re", aCommedia dell'Arte-inspired comic play, starring Narayana VisnuCampos Cherre. The Year of Italy in Latin America is sponsoredby the Italian Foreign Office, the Ministry of Cultural Assetsand Activities and Tourism, the Ministry of EconomicDevelopment, the National Foreign Trade Institute and theConference of Italian University Deans and businesses. Morethan 40 Italian diplomatic bodies will open their doors toinstitutional representatives and the public. The 21st MilanTriennale, an exhibition recognised by the Bureau Internationaldes Expositions, will be held from Apr. 2 to Sept. 12 next yearas part of "Open Doors". It will have "The 21st Century, DesignAfter Design" as its theme and will include an exhibitionthroughout the Milanese area. It will also be linked to theSalone del Mobile international furniture fair, which will openat the same time and will help to stimulate interest inbusinesses and regional promotion. vel.
