(AGI) Rome, Sept 21 - Italy's shortlist for the Oscar for thebest film not in the English language includes nine films. Thenine films include: "Leopardi" ("Il giovane favoloso") by MarioMartone; "Latin lover" by Cristina Comencini; "L'attesa" byPiero Messina; "Mia madre" by Nanni Moretti; "You Can't SaveYourself Alone" ("Nessuno si salva da solo") by SergioCastellitto; "Non essere cattivo" di Claudio Caligari; "Peramor vostro" by Giuseppe M. Gaudino; "Sangue del mio sangue" byMarco Bellocchio and "Sworn Virgin" ("Vergine giurata") byLaura Bispuri. The nine titles for the race to the Oscars werechosen among the films released in Italy between Oct. 1, 2014and Sept. 30, 2015. The Selection Committee will be made up ofNicola Borrelli, Director General for Cinema of the Ministry ofCultural Heritage and Activities; composer Nicola Piovani; filmdirector Daniele Luchetti; film producers Tilde Corsi andOlivia Musini; film distributor Andrea Occhipinti; StefanoRulli, the president of the Experimental Film Centre Foundationand journalists Natalia Aspesi and Gianni Canova. The SelectionCommittee will meet on Monday, Sept. 28 at the offices ofANICA, the National Association of Cinematographic andAudiovisual Industries, which acts on behalf of the Academy ofMotion Pictures Arts and Sciences. The nomination is due to beannounced on Jan. 14, 2016, while the Oscars will be awardedin Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016.. .
