( AGI) Rome, Oct 9 - Giuseppina Torre is an example of Italianexcellence which is appreciated and admired abroad. Herfairy-tale story began three years ago when the organisers ofthe Los Angeles Music Awards 'discovered' through one of hersongs on iTunes and soon she was celebrated in the U.S. and inthe rest of the world. Giuseppina's first album was released onFriday titled " Il silenzio delle stelle" (the Silence of theStars), published by Bideri and distributed on the Sony Classiclabel. The album includes collaborations with such top-classperformers as the Solis String Quartet, Fabrizio Bosso,Consiglia Licciardi and Michele Signore, with artisticproduction and music arrangement by Maestro Mimmo Cappuccio.Torre was born in Vittoria, in the province of Ragusa, Sicily,and gained a diploma in piano, which paved the way to a careerbetween the Classical and New Classical. She has received manynational and international awards, including many categories inthe United States, where she has thrice won the Los AngelesMusic Award. Perhaps best known for her piece "The Silence ofthe Stars", she has played in concerts ever since. In LosAngeles, she played before Paolo Sorrentino and was in theentourage of Gabriele Muccino, two of the top Italian filmdirectors now working in the U.S. She has also won praise inItaly, where she composed the sound track to Tg1's special newsprogrammes edited by Roberto Olla, including the highlyemotional docufilm "L'amore dopo la tempesta" (Love after thetempest) on the Shoah survivors. About her music, Giuseppinasaid, " My music is introspective, seeking to go beyond thevisible, translating into music our feelings and sensations...amusical-emotional journey into the labyrinth of the heart."Giuseppina Torre is a nominee for the International Music andEntertainment Awards Awards 2015, to take place in Georgia(USA) on October 24, 2015. Her piece 'Because I Need You' isthe candidate in the category 'Classical Song of the Year'.(AGI). .
