(VELINO) Roma, 31 May - Brazil's Sao Paulo will host the 2017 edition of the "Festival del cinema italiano" [Italian Cinema Festival], which will take place from June 1 to June 19. The films have been selected to enhance the knowledge of our country and further its appreciation. Paolo Sorrentino's "La grande bellezza" [The Great Beauty, 2013] will open the event. It will be followed on June 8 by Roberto Benigni's "La vita e' bella" [Life is Beautiful]. On June 22, the festival will feature Gabriele Salvatores "Mediterraneo". Finally, Giuseppe Tornatore's "Nuovo Cinema Paradiso" [New Cinema Paradiso, 1988] will close the programme on June 29. The festival has been organised by the Italian Cultural Institute in Sao Paulo, in cooperation with the Centro di Integrazione delle Imprese e della Scuola (CIEE) [Center for the Integration of Enterprises and Schools]. vel
