(AGI) Rome, June 21 - The great music of Italian cinema will take centre stage at the 30th annual Izmir Festival, which will run in the Turkish town until June 25. The Italian Consulate in Izmir organised a high-level programme for the event. Musicians Mauro Maur and Francesca de Clossey will play on the prestigious stage of the Celsus Library in Ephesus. They will perform a selection of the most famous compositions by Morricone, Rota, and Piccioni, adapted for trumpet and piano. The Festival is organised every year in the seaside resort by the Izmir Foundation for Culture and Education. It covers a wide range of performances, ranging from classical, traditional and modern music to ballet, theatre and opera. (AGI) .
