(AGI) Rome, June 6 - The photographic exhibition "Ciao Bucarest. Italian Urban Influences" successfully opened in the Romanian capital. It is organised by the Italian Embassy at the National Art Museum as part of events celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Italian Republic on June 2. It will promote and publicise Italian savoir faire, and its influence on the architecture and urban landscape of Bucharest, from the 18th century to today. A book is being published in tandem with the exhibition, which includes a selection of photos and a website at www.ciaobucarest.it. The exhibition is open to the public until Aug. 15 and entry is free. Italian Ambassador Diego Brasioli held a reception at the embassy to mark the Feast of the Republic, attended by representatives of Romanian institutions and the diplomatic corps, including President of the Chamber of Deputies Valeriu Zgonea and Foreign Minister Lazar Comanescu, along with members of Romania's Italian entrepreneurial, social and cultural community. Guest of honour was Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, who stressed the excellent bilateral relations between Italy and Romania, particularly economic, and underscored the major contribution of Italian entrepreneurs to Romania's development.
