(VELINO) Roma, 6 Jun - Professor Claudio Morandi will give a lecture on June 16 in Montevideo on "Classical heritage in Italy and UNESCO sites", in which he will guide participants through Italy's most important classical remains. The event has been organised by the Italian Institute of Culture (IIC) in the Uruguayan capital, in partnership with the Italian School of Montevideo (SIM). Mr Morandi is headmaster of the secondary school and educational coordinator of the SIM. In parallel there will be an exhibition of a selection of works from the project "UNESCO Italy - World Heritage Sites in the work of 14 photographers," which will be open at the Cabildo museum in Montevideo until July 17. The exhibition, organised by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism (MIBACT) and the Foreign Ministry, is one of a series of international activities aimed at raising awareness of Italian cultural heritage and Italy's experience in the field of conservation and promotion of these assets. It is also part of the "Year of Italy in Latin America" project sponsored by the Foreign Ministry in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry for Economic Development, the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), the Conference of Rectors of Italian Universities and with the contribution of many companies. vel
