(VELINO) Roma, 17 Jun - The contribution of Italian technology and scientific innovation towards the conservation of artistic and architectural heritage will be the focus of a conference in Argentina on June 23 at the Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad Nacional (Unlp) in La Plata. The conference will be curated by Italian experts Alessandro Zanini and Andrea Griletto, respectively the president and the director of the Italian Association for Architectural, Artistic and Urban Restoration (Assorestauro). The conference is the first to be held between service providers, specialised companies, and producers of materials, equipment, and technology. It will represent the restoration and material heritage conservation industries at both a national and international level, and is a reference point for those who wish to explore, in broad terms, the world of conservation in Italy as a union of various convergent disciplines. It is also part of the initiatives falling under the Year of Italy in Latin America, a project promoted by the Italian foreign ministry with the collaboration of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism and the Ministry of Economic Development, the ITA, the Conference of Deans of Italian Universities, and contributed towards by numerous businesses. Its aim is to promote Italy's identity and talents in Latin America in its cultural, economic, scientific, and technological aspects. vel
