(VELINO) Roma, 1 Sep - The city of Villa Regina in Argentina's Patagonia region is about to host "Italia Nostra", a week of events dedicated to Italy jointly organised with the Universidad Nacional del Rio Negro (UNRN) and the Universidad Nacional del Comahue. The initiative, which will run from 4 to 11 September, is designed to relaunch and strenghten ties with Italy through music, theatre and dance performances as well as art and photography exhibitions, the display of vintage cars, gastronomy and regional stands where to taste regional Italian recipes. "Italia Nostra" was presented to the public on 22 August. On that occasion the Head of UNRN's Alto Valle and Valle Medio Branch, Martin Vesprini, announced the setting up of a new University chair where people of all ages will be able to debate questions regarding the area's history, in order to rediscover an Italian-Argentinian identity and learn about Italy's culture and language. vel
