(VELINO) Roma, 5 May - The essence of physics and radiations is the central theme of a two-day international Forum on Physics underway in Buenos Aires. The programme includes the participation of prestigious physicists from all over the world. The Forum will discuss innovative non-destructive techniques that use ionizing radiation and charged and neutral particles to probe matter and their application in the field of art and cultural property, industry, life sciences and the environment. The Radiation Physics and Chemistry (Elsevier) scientific journal will dedicate a special issue to a selection of scientific works that will be presented at the Forum. The event is coordinated by Jorge Eduardo Fernandez (Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna, Italy) and Marcelo Rubio (Universidad Nacional de Cordoba, Argentina). The guest speakers will be David Bradley (University of Surrey, UK), Richard Hugtenburgh (Swansea University, UK) and He'ctor Jorge Sanchez (Universidad Nacional de Cordoba, Argentina).
