Toronto - The Italian Cultural Institute in Toronto will welcome Christian De Sica as the special guest of the Italian Contemporary Film Festival. The festival which is taking place in Toronto until 16 June, will honour Mr De Sica with the prestigious ICFF award to the actor's career on Wednesday 14 June.
In the previous editions, it was given to great film stars such as Al Pacino, Roberto Benigni, Carlo Verdone and Claudia Cardinale. Mr De Sica is bringing to Canada two of his recent works: 'Poor but Rich' and 'Fraulein - A Winter Tale'. The renowned Roman actor, the son of Vittorio De Sica, will also present one of his father's masterpieces: 'Marriage Italian Style'.
A special event will be devoted to this presentation, creating a spiritual bridge uniting the ingeniousness of the great director Vittorio de Sica with the acting versatility of his son. The initiative was organised by the Film Festival in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in Toronto.
