Beijing - Neos Air, owned by the Alpitour Group, will fly direct once a week from Milan Malpensa to Jinan in East China. It is the airline's fourth Chinese destination. Neos' new route, set to begin service in May, will fly a Boeing 767 every Friday at 11:00 am local time. The new link will give Jinan's Yaoqiang International Airport and the area an opportunity to increase cultural and commercial exchanges with the neighbouring regions and with the European Union.
The maiden Jinan/Malpensa flight is scheduled to take place on May 19. On May 3 there will be the maiden flight between Milan and Nanjing, operated by Neos from Malpensa airport. It will run twice a week. The Nanjing area, in eastern China, hosts many Italian companies operating in the country, and is not far from Suzhou, where the largest Italian industrial district outside the European Union is located. Nanjing is also home to Suning, the majority shareholder of the Inter F.C., that last month disclosed the interest its platforms 020 (On line to off-line)had for Italian agrifood sector.
Besides Nanjin and Jinan, Neos Air has direct connections also to Tainjin and Shenyang. The Italian airline said it will operate triangular connections between May and October.
