Catanzaro - Calabrian Coffee Brand, Guglielmo, is set on conquering an ever greater market share in the Far East. It first opened in China in Qingdao last February. After that, it continued to expand to the Far East and just a few days ago opened its 13th coffee shop in Gurye, South Korea, a city of 35,000 inhabitants in the province of Southern Jeolla, just a few kilometres off the important metropolis of Gwangju.
The coffee shop covers a 70 sq mt area in a prized location along the city's most important road. The interior decoration is in its characteristic hybrid and charming style, blending together two cultures - Italian and Eastern. Guglielmo SpA has two commercial headquarters in Italy.
The office in Copanello di Staletti, in the province of Catanzaro, takes care of the central and southern market. The office in the northern peninsula refers to the company's Bologna headquarters. Caffe' Guglielmo sells its product in Italy both directly and through its sole concessionaires.
Italy has 14 Caffe Gugliemo shops in the following cities: Bologna, Botricello, Catanzaro (3), Cosenza, Crotone, Firenze, Furci Siculo, Lamezia Terme, Rossano, S. Andrea sullo Jonio, Torino and Vibo Valentia. The company does not look to Asia alone, as over the years Caffe Guglielmo has established partnerships in North America, Australia, Britain, Portugal, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland. Founder Guglielmo Papaleo established the company back in 1943.
Caffe' Gugliemo has become one of the most important entrepreneurial realities in Southern Italy. Located on the splendid coast of the Ionian Sea at Copanello, just a few kilometres from Catanzaro, its roasting plant is a combination of avant-garde and tradition.
