Rome - The Minister for the Environment, Protection of the Territory and the Sea, Gian Luca Galletti, will give a lectio magistralis on "The Governance of the Paris Agreement. The best possible accord", on Thursday, 16 March, at the Pontificia Universita Lateranense. The event has been organised by the Italian Embassy to the Holy See and will focus on the Italian stance with regard to the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.
The Italian government participated with a great commitment in the agreement and contributed decisively to the adoption of the final text. The initiative will be opened with the address of the Rector of the university, Monsigneur Enrico dal Covolo, and the Italian Ambassador to the Holy See, Daniele Mancini.
The conclusions have been assigned to Professor Vincenzo Buonomo, who holds the chair of International Law at the same university. The event is part of an extensive collaboration with Pontifical university establishments, with the Italian Embassy committed to the implementation of numerous joint initiatives.
