Moscow - The Italian Ambassador to Moscow, Cesare Maria Ragaglini, is leading an entrepreneurial mission to Lipetsk, capital city of one of the most interesting Russian regions from the point of view of investment opportunities with a view to establishing joint ventures with local partners and strengthening an Italian entrepreneurial presence in the area. The Italian Trade Agency, ICE (the agency for the promotion and internationalisation of Italian enterprises), the Italo-Russian Chamber of Commerce, and SACE (Italian export credit agency)partiipate,among others, in the mission. Four of the seven foreign enterprises currently operating in Lipetsk SEZ (Special Economic Zone) are Italian.
The Ambassador's agenda will include a meeting with the Governor of the region, Oleg Petrovich Korolev, a visit to the Russian NLMK plant and to the Italian Sest-Luve plant. The Ambassador will also attend the opening session of the Business Economic Forum, which will feature B2B meetings between Italian and Russian companies. Technical meetings will take place, designed to boost the teaching of Italian as a second language in schools and universities, as well as the introduction of Italian in EGE state examinations. "It is no coincidence that our mission to Lipetsk marks the beginning of our activities in 2017, " explained Ambassador Ragaglini, "we believe that Italian investors and enterprises may be pioneers in a region which is also a SEZ and where many Italian companies are already doing business."
"Moreover, it is our good fortune that the region has a solid and well organized administrative system, capable of meeting all the needs of foreign enterprises seeking to enter this market. We can also rely on an Honorary Consulate, which has been providing considerable support to the firms already operating in this territory, and facilitating the inflow of capital and the establishment of new entreprises, " concluded Ambassador Ragaglini.
