(AGI) Rome, Sept 17 - After its launch in Italy and Europeancountries on June 10, the Vespa 946 Emporio Armani is makingits debut on the most important Asian markets - Japan now, withVietnam and Indonesia to follow soon. The model grew out of apartnership between Giorgio Armani and the Piaggio Group tocelebrate two of the most famous Italian symbols in the world.This new and unique version of the Vespa 946 carries the Armanilogo and comes in a special shade of grey designed by Armaniwith a hint of green visible only under special lightconditions. This year is the 40th anniversary of thefoundation of Giorgio Armani and 130th year of the PiaggioGroup. In Tokyo the special anniversary model wasexhibited at the Emporio Armani store in Aoyama, during VogueFashion's Night Out on Sept. 12. Hanoi will see it on Sept. 18and Jakarta on Sept. 21. In the first six months of 2015 thePiaggio Group, whose two-wheelers recorded sales growth inevery one of its markets, reported a 19.4 percent rise inrevenue in Asia-Pacific, with Vespa sales up 9.3 percent asagainst the same period last year.
