(AGI) Sydney, Sept 25 - Friday was iPhone Day in 12 differentcountries, as Apple's latest device went on sale. As always, thousands of people queued for hours at the stores, keen to bethe first to bag the latest smartphones. This year, a woman inSydney used a robot to queue in her place. Lucy Kelly, a22-year-old marketing manager, customised a Segway equippedwith an iPad to queue for 27 hours in Sydney. When the doorsopened, it entered the store, took the lift to the next floorup and presented itself to Apple staff. Via her iPad, Ms Kellyordered an iPhone 6S and a 6S plus and authorised thetransaction with a credit card, in what may well have been apublicity stunt in which Apple was complicit. Ms Kelly thenremotely wheeled her device into the centre of Sydney, where itdelivered the iPhones to colleagues of hers. The people in thequeue were "fabulous", she said, after talking to other Applefans through her iPad. The new iPhone 6S and 6S plus are nowavailable in 12 countries, including Germany, France and GreatBritain. They are due to launch in Italy during the first halfof October. (AGI). .
