(AGI) Turin, Oct. 16 - Jeep recorded its best September ever inEurope, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). It was the 23rdconsecutive month of growth for the brand in the region with11,200 registrations. Brand sales were up 63 percent over thesame period last year. An even better result was recorded inEurope, where Jeep sales increased by 132.5 percent with almost8,550 registrations in September. The wholly-owned subsidiaryof Fiat Chrysler Automobiles recorded its best month ever interms of sales, with 2,454 cars in Italy, almost 2,100 in theUK, 1,493 in Germany, 661 in France and 334 in Spain. The JeepRenegade was the top model, selling more than 5,300 inSeptember, accounting for 62 percent of brand sales in Europeand in Italy reaching third place in its segment. Jeep salesrose sharply in the third quarter in the EMEA region and inEurope alone. With over 20,000 vehicles sold in Europe, salesgrew by 130 percent compared to the third quarter last year,recording the best quarterly result ever achieved in Italy,Germany, United Kingdom, France and Spain. The best result inthe third quarter was achieved in Spain (a 257 percent increasecompared to the third quarter of 2014), followed by Italy (a242.8 percent rise) and France (162 percent more). In the firstnine months, Jeep sales in the EMEA region increased by 75percent (87,226 vehicles) compared to the same period of 2014.The best results were recorded in Spain (+296.6 percent),France (+ 267.6 percent), Italy (+262 percent) and the UK (+196percent). Over this period, sales in Europe exceeded theresults of the entire previous year (41,415 cars), rising by158.7 percent over the same period last year with 65,695 cars.(AGI).
