(AGI) Rome, July 1 - Italy's youth unemployment fell slightlyin May, but was still very near record highs. A total of700,000 15 and 24 year-olds were out of work, according tofigures from Italian statistics agency, ISTAT. The jobless rateamong 15-24 year-olds out of the population in this age groupwas 11.7 percent, an increase of 0.2 percent, down on the 1.1percent rise of the previous month. The level of unemploymentamong 15 to 24 year-olds was 43 percent, down 0.3 percent fromthe month before, but up by 4.2 percentage points in monthlyterms. . .
