Italy's Snam attends World Gas Conference 2015

(AGI) Rome, May 29 - Italian natural gas infrastructure companySnam will be taking part from June 1 to 5 in the World GasConference 2015, the industry's most important world congressand a landmark event that comes after three years of work bythe International Gas Union (IGU). The World Gas Conference isan opportunity for major players in the natural gas business toshare their views on the development of the supply chain withoperators from around the world. After the previous event inKuala Lumpur in Malaysia, the Conference returns to Europe, inParis where it was previously held in 1937. Participation inthe WGC, scheduled at Paris Expo, is an opportunity for Snam togive stakeholders more information about steps forinternational growth taken in 2012 that see the Group involved,among other things, in facilitating the transit of gas flows toEuropean markets in the broader context of effectiveinterconnection with continental networks. The Snam stand (Hall1, booth J62), a reference point for institutional meetings,will also be a location to study issues relating to the Group'spresence at the international level, represented chieflythrough foreign affiliates TIGF and TAG. TIGF, strategicallysituated in the south-west of France, along the connectionroute with the Iberian Peninsula, can help further developopportunities for value creation linked to closer integrationof the French market and possible new internationalinterconnections. The TAG pipeline, acquired in 2014, is themost important piece of infrastructure for importing gas toItaly. In addition, due to its potential use in reverse-flow toEastern Europe and Southern Germany, it is a strategic assetfor the integration of the European single market.. .
