(AGI) Florence, June 16 - The Italian government has allotted45 million euro to promote Made in Italy products in fairs, and18 million of the allocation is destined to the fashionindustry. "I believe we can increase the 18-million budgetbearing in mind this is one of the outstanding examples of ourcountry's excellence," said Economic Development MinisterFederica Guidi, during her address at the opening ceremony ofthe 88th Pitti Uomo event in Florence on Tuesday. "Pitti is ablueprint of the excellence we must keep up, and which we havepreserved following the attempt to take this important eventaway from Florence. We must reconsider ways and means ofsupporting it, without discrimination, bearing in mind thatthis is the city which hosts the Pitti fashion events," theMinister added. . .
