(AGI) Rome, Mar 13 - A meeting to discuss international railprojects has been held by Italy's Foreign Ministry. Its GeneralDirectorate for the Promotion of the "Country System" metcompanies following an increase in international railinfrastructure projects. Italian companies are known forexcellence in developing these projects, which are increasinglycomplex. Many countries are competing to build high-speed raillines. A survey, by the diplomatic and consular network, waspresented at the meeting looking at rail projects in foreignmarkets. They also considered a "Book on Railways", compiled bynews agency Internationalia, which focused on opportunities forgrowth and trends in rail transport in developing countries.The aim was to identify priority projects following thesubmission of proposals which will be promoted by the ForeignMinistry and the Ministry of Economic Development oninternational business and support with foreign authorities.(AGI). .
