Former Allianz Italia chief joins board of Vatican Bank

(AGI) Vatican City, Sept 16 - Carlo Salvatori, head of AllianzItalia and chairman of Lazard Italia, has joined the Board ofSuperintendence of the IOR (Institute for the Works ofReligion), more commonly known as the Vatican Bank. MrSalvatori, 73, a former chairman of Unicredit bank, is the onlyItalian member of the board chaired by Jean-Baptiste deFranssu.
