European businesses in Russia slate fresh EU sanctions

(AGI) Moscow - The Association for European Businesses (AEB) inRussia has slated the fresh European Union (EU) economicsanctions taken against Russia in response to the crisis inUkraine. An AEB statement said the association stood by itsopposition to the sanctions and curbs to free trade andinvestment, calling for a de-escalation of political tension onboth sides. It still believed that, despite the sanctions,Russia remained and would continue to remain a strategicpartner for European businesses and urged the heads of stateand governments of the EU, U.S.A, Russia and Ukraine to draw upnew policies
