(AGI) Brussels, Nov 14 - Alitalia has won conditional approvalfrom the European Union Antitrust authority for its merger withthe United Arab Emirates' Etihad Airways. The only conditionimposed by the committee, led by Commissioner MargretheVestager, was that the company releases slots for new operatorson the Rome-Belgrade route at Rome Fiumicino and Belgradeairports. The commission feared that the monopoly on theRome-Belgrade route might put prices up and mean inferiorpassenger service.
