(AGI) Rome, Nov 18 - Italian oil and gas giant Eni has won theReaders' Choice award at the Hpcwire International Conferencefor High Performance Computing (HPC), Networking, Storage andAnalysis (Sc14) held in New Orleans. Hpcwire said Eni hasreceived the award for best use of HPC technologies in the oiland gas sector. "Eni implements the fastest supercomputers inthe oil industry, which include IBM servers and Gpu Nvidiaaccelerators," said Hpcwire in a statement. The winners of theReaders' Choice and Editors' Choice award are chosen by theglobal community of Hpcwire and Hpcwire editors. The award isan important annual event for the magazine and a prestigiousacknowledgement by the Hpcwire community. The winners areannounced at the annual conference on supercomputing whichpresents the latest innovations in High Performance Computing,networking, storage and data analysis.
