(AGI) Rome, Oct 1- Eni won an international bid on Wednesday inMexico City, with a Production Sharing Contract and a 100percent share for the appraisal, development and exploitationof the oil fields of Amoca, Mitzon and Tecoalli, located in theBay of Campeche, in Mexican offshore waters. Amoca, Mitzon andTecoalli are situated in the so-called 'Area 1', in shallowwaters at a depth ranging from 20 to 40 metres. The oil fieldsare located a short distance from the coastline, in a contextwhere Eni has demonstrated its expertise around the world,operating with a high efficiency while workingcost-effectively. Mexico's Comision Nacional de Hidrocarburos(CNH), who organised the bid, has estimated that the totalcombined oil volumes on the site amount to 800 million barrelsof oil and 14 billion cubic metres of related gas. Eni will nowappraise the fields with the aim to define a fast-track andsynergic development plan. Out of the five areas included inthe bid round, Area 1 was the one most sought after and itsassignment to ENI is subject to clearance by local authorities.This was the second oil call bid issued by CNH under the 'Ronda1', which enables both local and foreign oil companies tooperate in Mexico following the Energy Reform of 2014. Area 1will be run by Eni Mexico, a company which is now beingestablished.. .
