(AGI) Rho, Sept 25 - Agriculture and energy are the main focusfor investment in Mozambique, says the country's AgricultureMinister Jose Antonio Pacheco. Mozambique's economy is one ofthe fastest-growing in Africa. Speaking at Mozambique NationalDay at Expo 2015, he said: "agriculture is the fundamentalbasis for the socio-economic development of Mozambique" andtherefore "the government will increase public and privateinvestment in the sector, geared to increasing productivity,jobs and family income". He added thatMozambique produced electricity and exported it to othercountries such as Zimbabwe. Mozambique "provides prime businessopportunities in the transport, tourism, trade, constructionand cultural sectors", all part of a fast-growing economy. "Ournation has grown an average 7.5 percent per year over the lastdecade and our agricultural sector has achieved an average 7-8percent growth rate during the same period, now making up 25percent of GDP.
